Welcome to Ninjasu (“we,” “our,” “us”). Ninjasu is a food, grocery, and product delivery service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights and choices you have. By using our mobile app or website, you agree to the practices described here.
The short version
- We collect only what we need to take and deliver your order — your name, contact details, and address.
- Orders are currently Cash on Delivery; we don’t collect or store any card or bank details.
- We share your details only with the store and the delivery person fulfilling your order.
- We never sell your personal data, and you can delete your account anytime.
1.Information We Collect
A. Personal information
When you create an account or place an order, we collect:
- Full name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Delivery address(es)
- Records of your communications with customer support
B. Payment information
Orders are currently fulfilled on a Cash on Delivery basis. We do not collect or store any card numbers, bank details, or other payment credentials. If we introduce online payments in the future, payments will be handled by secure third-party payment providers, and we will update this policy before that change takes effect.
C. Location information
With your permission, we collect real-time location data to deliver your orders, provide live order tracking, and improve address accuracy and navigation. You can disable location access anytime in your device settings (some delivery features may not work without it).
D. Technical & log information
Like any online service, our systems automatically receive a small amount of technical information needed to keep the app secure and running — such as your IP address, app version, and basic device and operating-system information. We use this for security, troubleshooting, and reliability.
E. Usage information
To improve your experience, we collect information about how you use the app — such as order history, searches, viewed items, saved favourites, and in-app preferences.
F. Notifications
We may send push notifications for order confirmations, delivery updates, account activity, and (unless you opt out) offers. You can disable notifications anytime in your device settings.
G. Camera access (only if used)
If you choose to attach a photo or file in a customer-support chat, the app may ask permission to access your camera or gallery for that purpose only. Camera access can be disabled anytime in your device settings.
2.How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Process, fulfil, and deliver your orders
- Manage your account and provide customer support
- Improve app performance, functionality, and user experience
- Send order updates and service notifications
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access
- Send offers where permitted (you can opt out anytime)
- Comply with our legal obligations
4.Data Retention
We retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide our services, maintain order records, prevent fraud and abuse, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
5.Account & Data Deletion
You can request permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data anytime through:
- In-app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account, or
- Email: support@ninjasu.com with the subject “Account Deletion”.
On a verified request we will delete or anonymise your personal data, except information we are legally required to retain (for example, for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or financial records).
6.Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Passwords are stored in encrypted (hashed) form. However, no electronic transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7.Children’s Privacy
Ninjasu is intended for users aged 18 and above, who can place and pay for orders on behalf of their household. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information without valid parental or guardian consent, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8.Third-Party Services
Our app relies on third-party services such as cloud hosting, mapping/navigation, and push-notification providers. These services process information under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
10.Data Storage & Processing
Your information is primarily stored and processed within India. Trusted third-party providers (such as cloud hosting, maps, or notification services) may securely process limited data, subject to applicable security and data-protection standards.
11.Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account or personal data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Seek grievance redressal
You can exercise these rights through in-app support or by emailing support@ninjasu.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
